I’m officially endorsing Zane Guitars.
Based in Antigo, Wisconsin, Zane is turning heads by making incredible custom guitars.
Some of the guitarists who use Zane Guitars play for Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, Newsboys, Seventh Day Slumber, Disciple, and more.
Now, let me tell you about my Zane Guitar.
The first thing you’ll notice is the killer bronzy/orange paint job. It’s a custom color they offer that really stands out on stage.
The body and neck are mahogany, which makes for a thick tone with lots of sustain.
One of my favorite features on this thing is the independent coil taps on the humbucker pickups. Coil Tapping makes a humbucker pickup sound like a single coil at the press of a knob.
So, instead of just 3 sounds, I can get a total of 8!
The humbuckers sound fat, like a PRS or Les Paul, but, when the coil tap is engaged, it goes in a stratocaster direction. Versatility is a great thing! 🙂
On the Road
So, I put the guitar through its paces on a 8 show run recently with Christian artist Danny Gokey, and it performed beautifully.
It plays easily, making 70-80+ minute shows a breeze. And it stays in tune very well.
I like this guitar so much, I’ll be adding more Zane guitars to my arsenal very soon.
Huge thanks goes out to Zane Artist Rep (and ridiculous guitarist and mix engineer) Tony Palacios for getting me hooked on these guitars, and to Rick Charlesworth and the Zane team for their fantastic work!
If you are interested in a Zane guitar, Contact Zane, or reach out to me. 🙂
Here’s a video from one of the Danny Gokey shows. There’s a guitar solo at 4:18.
